How long can I borrow an item?
How long can I borrow an item?
Most materials check out for 14 days and can be renewed if you are not finished with them. For renewal details, see below.
Exceptions: New Fiction, Magazines, DVD's/Blu-rays and high demand items check-out for one week. The check-out period for Library of Things items will vary and details can be found on the item's information sheet.
Some collections, such as DVD's/Blu-rays and Library of Things, can only be checked out on an Adult Account.

Most materials, without a hold, can be renewed up to five times.
Exceptions: New Fiction and DVD's/Blu-rays can be renewed one time. Audiobooks can be renewed two times. High demand items cannot be renewed. Renewal options for the Library of Things items can be found on the item's information sheet.

Borrowing Digital Materials
Borrowing Digital Materials
Ebooks and other digital material are provided at no cost to patrons with a Cushing Public Library card. The digital collections are available within the limitations and settings of the individual digital service providers. Check-out periods and renewal terms can be found in the digital material's app. Items through Libby can be checked out for up to 14 days and can be renewed if no one is waiting for the title. Items automatically return once the check-out period is over.

Is the item you are wanting checked out? We would be happy to reserve it for you! You can reserve items by logging in to our online catalog or give us a call and we would be happy to help you over the phone. We'll notify you when the item comes in and hold it for up to a week.
Interlibrary Loans
Interlibrary Loans
If the library doesn't have the book, movie or other item you need, ask us about an Interlibrary Loan. We may be able to borrow what you need from another library.
Please note: There's a postage fee for an Interlibrary loan. If we are unable to borrow the item requested, the postage fee will be refunded.
