Residents of Cushing, Payne County or those that live within our service area, ages 6+, are eligible for a free library card. An individual employed in Cushing may also apply for a card. A parent or legal guardian must apply for children 6-17.
To get a library card you will need to:
Fill out an application at the library.
Provide a valid photo ID. (See below)
Provide proof of residency. (See below)
Provide proof of employment in Cushing if your home address is outside of our service area. (See below)
Library cards are mailed. Please allow 5-7 days.

Search for books and other items through our online catalog. You can also use the search bar on our home page. Log into your account to renew or reserve books. You will need your library card number (all digits, no spaces) and the last 4 digits of the phone number you gave us to log in.
Most materials check out for 14 days and can be renewed if you are not finished with them. For renewal details, see below.
Exceptions: New Fiction, Magazines, DVD's/Blu-rays, the Library of Things and high demand or reserved items.
Some collections, such as DVD's/Blu-rays and Library of Things, can only be checked out on an Adult Account.

If the library doesn't have the book, movie or other item you need, ask us about an Interlibrary Loan. We may be able to borrow what you need from another library!
There's a postage fee for an Interlibrary loan. If we are unable to borrow the item requested, the postage fee will be refunded.
Our internet access is filtered. Public Computers are available for use with a completed Computer Usage Form. Black and white printing is available for a fee.
Free WiFi is available.
To use one of our computers, for your first visit you will need:
a current, government issued photo ID (See "Getting a Library Card")
to read and sign a computer usage form
Computer sessions are limited to one session per day for up to one hour.
Sound isn't available on these computers, even with headphones.
A parent or legal guardian must bring their ID (see above) and complete a form for their child to use a computer.
Our Friends group has provided an Early Literacy Computer with numerous educational games and programs for children ages 2-5.

This computer has no internet access.
Printing is available for a fee. We have a B&W printer that can print from library computers. It is 10 cents per page, maximum 50 pages, cash only. Wireless printing isn't available.
We have a B&W copier available to the public. It is 15 cents for a letter size copy and 40 cents for a legal size copy.
The Library copier cannot print digital files.
We have study tables, for individuals and groups, located around the library. Please keep in mind that we have a 'No Food or Drink' policy in the library. A water fountain is available by the central elevator.
If you are a teacher or tutor meeting with students, please sign in at the front desk.
The library has a meeting room available for non-profit organization use. To use the meeting room, you would need to read and fill out a 'Meeting Room' form. Room reservations must be approved by the Library Director. We recommend making reservations in advance.
Children under 18 are not permitted in the meeting room.
It is the responsibility of the person that reserves the room to make sure that everyone they are meeting with follows the Meeting Room Policy.
